Lucky Craft SKT MR Medium Runner & DR Deep Runner Crankbaits

Although the SKT MR and DR are two of the newest crankbait models offered by Lucky Craft, they have gained instant popularity and widespread angler acceptance, due to their ideal size and profile. The relatively bigger size of the SKT MR/DR (compared to the original SKT Mini MR/DT) makes the SKT MR/DR a good size of crankbait particularly for cold water and muddy conditions. With flat sides, a tight wobble and a lot of vibration, the SKT MR/DR offers fish a defined target, even in muddy water. Truthfully, it is the ideal "large but not too large" size that many US anglers prefer for most conditions much of the time. The size is "just right".

The SKT MR and DR do not have rattles. Lucky Craft used an internal weighting system on these crankbaits, and they have great balance. They are comparable to wooden balsa baits, which are normally very expensive, but it’s hard to find two balsa baits that will run the same out of the package. The SKT MR and DR have the same action and wobble as balsa baits, but they are a lot more reliable, consistent and durable.

SKT MR. A medium running crankbait. The front lip is wide and brings the bait quickly to its desired depth, down to 5 or 6 feet. Many medium running crankbaits have the tendency to roll or torque when fished fast, but not the SKT MR. It can be fished faster, can cover a lot more water and has great deflection capabilities to trigger strikes when it deflects off objects.
SKT DR. With a longer lip, the SKT DR reaches depths between 8 and 10 feet. Making long casts to make contact with stumps, wood and obstructed bottom is key, and the SKT DR allows an angler to cover a lot of water quickly.
