Megabass Vibration-X Ultra & Smatra Lipless Crankbaits~ Rattle In, One Knock, Silent & Snagless Mode

Megabass Vibration-X Ultra & Smatra Lipless Crankbaits~ Rattle In, One Knock, Silent & Snagless Models

Megabass Vibration-X Ultra

The Megabass Vibration X-Ultra has a realistic bluegill or shad profile that will visually trigger bass into slamming it, but the real key to its fish-catching ability lies within the flat head design. This design allows the Vibration-X Ultra to be fished at any speed, and produces a tight vibration that will generate strikes from both aggressive and non-aggressive bass.

Available in a rattling or silent model, the Vibration-X Ultra is ideal for fishing year-round, regardless of water temperature or clarity, around all types of shoreline compositions, points, and grass beds. However, this lure is especially effective on windy days and it is at its best when used around weedbeds, either ripping it off the weeds or slow-rolling it so it barely ticks the tops of the vegetation.

Russ Bassdozer says: "It's fair to say most models of Megabass lure are little-known in the USA - except for the legendary Megabass Vision 110 jerkbait. That's changing lately as Megabass advertises and markets more heavily in the USA this year. However, even the top Megabass pros haven't yet tried all of the numerous Megabass lure models. I'd like to point out in particular the "double hook" or "snagless" models as something every angler ought to try. If you give them a fair try, you'll see they definitely do snag less in heavy cover than treble hooks - and catch just as many fish as treble hooks. If you just can't get comfortable with the idea of the snagless hooks, there's no downside since replacing them with trebles puts you right back in your comfort zone."

Vibration-X Ultra (Rattle In)

Type: Lipless, Rattling, Sinking.
Length: 3" (76 mm)
Weight: Rattle In model 11/16oz
Hooks:
Equipped with Megabass original Katsuage hooks. These have an out-barb, out-point and are wide gap with a 'near-center' seat for the hook to stay pinned. These trebles are specifically designed for lipless crankbaits, which are notorious for being easily thrown during the fight. So the Katsuage hooks help hold fish better.

Megabass Vibration-X Smatra ~ Lipless Crankbait

The Smatra is a small, compact version of the Vibration-X Ultra. The Smatra is designed to be smaller, while maintaining the popular characteristics of the Ultra. In fact, it's name is derived from Small + Ultra = Sma-tra.

While the Ultra is close to 3/4 oz, the Smatra (Small Ultra) weighs 1/2 oz. The smaller profile and lighter weight of the Smatra make it perfect when the bass are keying-in on smaller bait fish such as juvenile bluegill and shad.

The Smatra is available in:

  • Rattle In treble hook model
  • One Knock  treble hook model
  • One Knock Snagless double hook model

The addition of the One Knock model offers a unique sound to set this lure apart from the rattling baits that fish have been seeing for years, pulling wary bass from great distances. Anglers will also find the Smatra and One Knock particularly effective on tough fishing-days, such as post-frontal or bluebird-sky days.

It is a compact and easy to use bite-sized vibration bait. It's perfect as a search bait for crisscrossing any promising area with casts.

It is effective in most all water temperatures and clarities.

The Smatra can be retrieved at varying speeds, due to the crescent-shaped, fixed position Balancer inside that gives the Smatra a super low balancing point, which allows Smatra to roll dynamically yet stably through the water, even against leafy weed edges without getting snagged
